Information we collect
Auto Wise Consulting LLC may collect information you provide directly, including account and contact information, vehicle and loan details, VIN, mileage, ZIP code, transaction details, uploaded documents, and the inputs you use in Auto Wise analyses and tools.
We also collect limited technical information needed to operate and secure the service, such as session cookies, request metadata, timestamps, and diagnostic or security logs.
How we use information
We use information to provide Free Checks, paid analyses, VIN identification and market-value features, document storage and expert-review services, customer support, payment fulfillment, fraud prevention, security, service improvement, and legally required business records.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. Auto Wise does not receive or store your full payment-card number. Stripe may process payment, billing, fraud-prevention, and transaction information under its own terms and privacy practices.
Vehicle and valuation providers
VIN identification may use U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration data. Paid market-value features may send VIN, mileage, ZIP code, and related vehicle information to MarketCheck or another disclosed valuation provider so the requested estimate can be generated.
Document storage
Uploaded customer documents are stored in private object storage and are not intentionally made public. Access is restricted through authenticated Auto Wise workflows. Document review is available only for tiers that include expert document review.
Service providers
We may share only the information reasonably needed with service providers that help operate Auto Wise, including hosting, database, private file storage, payments, email, analytics, security, and vehicle-data providers. We do not sell personal information for money.
Retention and deletion
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain business and payment records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal or security obligations. You may contact us to request access, correction, or deletion, subject to records we are required or permitted to retain.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Do not upload passwords, account PINs, Social Security numbers, or other information that Auto Wise does not request.
Children
Auto Wise is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18.
Changes
We may update this policy as the service changes. The effective date shown above identifies the current version.
